Note to DLC Member Sponsor,

Thank you for sponsoring a family for potential membership in the Deer Lake community. New members are essential to sustaining the spirit of our beloved club, and the Board of Governors and Membership Committee sincerely appreciate your involvement in this process.

As a sponsor, we rely on you to recommend families who reflect the ethos and community-minded spirit of Deer Lake. Please sponsor only close personal friends or family members whom you know well, ideally for many years, and whom you would be proud to introduce to the DLC community. It is important that prospective members have spent time at the lake as guests and are familiar with our traditions and guidelines.

Deer Lake Club values diversity within our membership and strives to foster an environment of mutual respect among members and staff. We are also committed to preserving the lake, streams, and woodlands in an environmentally responsible way for future generations.

Please ensure your applicants are comfortable with the membership process, which includes a group question-and-answer meeting with the Membership Committee attended by all adult members of the applicant family. This meeting allows the committee to get to know the applicants and gives prospective members the opportunity to ask questions about the club.

Please have the applicants complete the form below. In addition, the sponsor should submit a letter of recommendation to the Membership Committee at [email protected].

Once all materials have been received, the Membership Committee will contact the prospective member family with details about the next steps.
